The time has come

rock.fm 0.4 has finally been completed! It’s only about a month late, but late is better than never. New additions are the audioscrobbler web services, which grab data and display it in an aesthetically pleasing fashion. I believe I’ve also fixed a few nagging bugs that had existed in the submission process and the GUI. If you like it (or don’t), leave a message here to let me know that somebody is actually using it.

I Knew This Would Happen..

I haven’t touched the code for rock.fm in about two weeks. As soon as I started working on the omgwtf contest, I knew that it’d get me less interested in the code I was using for the past few months. It’s just how I roll. And now I’ve gone and started working on some other small projects (they’ll get a project page soon enough).

I hope that this is just a slow down in development because of the stage it’s in. The proxy at work won’t let me access the web through a straight internet connection, so I can’t reliably draw the information received from the web services. I suppose I could set up some proxy information for rock.fm. I don’t know… we’ll see how things go.

rock.fm on hold

For most of this week (and part of last week) changes to rock.fm will be put on hold. I’ll probably miss the 0.4 milestone because of this, but if I have the chance to have fun and maybe win a JPEG, along with a MacBook Pro to display it, by writing some really bad code, I’m going to do it. Once everything has been judged, I’ll put my code from the OMGWTF contest on display here.

I will resume work on rock.fm once my entry is complete.

rock.fm Screenshots

Finally got around to creating those screenshots of the application. Let me know if it looks decent, or what you think should be changed.
